Mark had surgery to have tubes placed in his ears today. I was worried about how he would handle it, but he had so much fun getting ready for and recovering from the surgery - who knew? They gave him a mask to play with, so that he would be used to it by the time they used it to put him under. Then, they gave him some medicine that make him very loopy. He was actually stumbling around on his bed like he was three sheets to the wind. The actual procedure only took about 15 minutes, so he was only under anesthesia for about 20 minutes. When he woke up, he had his first popsicle (very messy) and watched the Backyardigans until it was time to go home. What a trooper!!

It is amazing how great they are with kids. When Tyken had his tubes, I was freaked out, but he tolerated the whole thing just fine. We did it at Primary Children's Medical Center. He loved driving the little police car into the operating room.
It is so fun scrolling through your blog and seeing the pictures. My baby had this surgery in August and your entry is almost identical to mine at the time.
For the record, I think Mark looks just like you!
