Mark with his cupcakes. Doesn't this pirate look excited?
I found these cool cupcake toppers. They're so cute - and edible!
Annelise had tons of fun playing dress-up.
Mark enjoyed cheating at "Pin-the-flag-on-the-treasure-map".
This was my favorite game. The pirates had to collect their "jewels" (marbles) using only their feet! It was pretty hilarious! Mark was smart - he immediately sat down and started loading his cup. All of the other kids tried standing first.
No party is complete without a pinata, of course!
Wish big!
Thar she blows!!
I forgot to photograph the food until the very end of the party, so there are only a couple left. We had coconut shrimp, Cap'n Crunch chicken, seaweed (green spinach linguine) and shells pasta, hot dog "ships", celery ships with raisin pirates, cannonballs (choc PB balls), fruit on sword skewers, "sunken treasure" Jello (blue Jello with fruit on the bottom and fish swimming around in a fish bowl), Pirate's Booty, goldfish crackers, meatball cannonballs, and pirate punch with skull and crossbone ice cubes. The food is my favorite part of a party - can you tell?
Mark had tons of fun opening his presents. He got a lot of great gifts. Look at the excitement!
Then, of course, the crash after the big day. Look at these adorable, sacked-out pirates.
I can't believe my little guy is turning 5! I love my little pirate.
